How To Apply an International Driving Permit in Singapore?
Planning going overseas and intend to drive yourself?
Having an IDP – “International Driving Permit” will surely be more convenient, especially in countries where you are unable to communicate easily.
Not only that, with the IDP, car rental will surely be more hassle-free with much swifter administrative paperworks, it is also as an easier option for overseas identification purposes etc.
It is also worth mentioning that the IDP is the only official legal document sanctioned by the UN Convention on Road Traffic in member countries..

*Do bring along these following documents:
Singapore Driving Licence and NRIC or FIN card.
*Applicant’s picture will be taken on-site at no charge.
If you are applying on behalf of the applicant, a hardcopy of the applicant’s passport-sized photo, a copy of the applicant’s Singapore Driving Licence and NRIC/FIN card are required.
IDP can be collected on-the-spot within 1 hour.

Do ensure the following documents are ready before online registration:
1 – A copy of your Singapore driving licence (front and back).
2 – A copy of your NRIC (front and back) for Singaporeans / Permanent Residents.
3 – A copy of employment pass/FIN Card (front and back) for foreigners.
4 – A clear coloured passport size photograph of the IDP applicant in plain light background
(Make sure the photographs is taken within last 2 years, with image resolution is sharp and clear, and is the complete face.Photographs with watermark will be rejected and the application will be delayed (Do not submit photo image on your passport, NRIC or driving license card as there is watermark on it)
