EZ-Link + Touch ‘n Go Combi Card Launching Around End 2019

Singapore’s EZ-Link Pte Ltd is collaborating with its counterpart Malaysia’s Touch ‘N Go Sdn Bhd (TNG) to introduce a public transport card that will work in both countries, Singapore and Malaysia!

The two companies have announced that they will co-develop the dual currency Combi Card, which is targeted to launch around end of this year.

The Combi Card will have two secured electronic wallets from both EZ-Link and Touch ‘N Go, which allows users to pay for public transportation on both sides of the Causeway, without switch cards!

.

.

There are plans to increase the card’s usage at different segments, such as making payments for shopping and dining in both countries..

The Combi Card will store both Singapore dollars and Ringgits separately, which means that if each “wallet” can only be used to pay for the same currency allocated, this will greatly reduce the confusion arises from currency exchanges etc.

Details on how to top-up the Combi Cards will be announced later..

.

.

Combi Card users are able to use it as an “EZ-Link” card for taking buses and MRT train services in Singapore…

.

…and as well as using it as a typical “Touch ‘N Go” card for paying for all Toll Charges, Foreign Vehicles’ Road Charge, or even parking fee at some major shopping malls in Malaysia too!

.

.

This is indeed a good initiative by both parties, and the possibilities for wider usages in the near future are endless..

Stay tune and look out for it soon!
