Consent Condom, Sure or Not?

Recently, an Argentinian company unveiled a new marketing video from their Twitter account for Tulipan, an adult toys and condom company.

They named the video with a hashtag:
#PlacerConsentido, which actually means “Permitted Pleasure”.

The advertising agency BBDO Argentina created a condom box which requires two pairs of hands to press four separate buttons on all sides of the box at the same time to open the box, so as to initiate consents from both parties..

However, the product has been met with lots of skepticism on Twitter.

On the surface, it’s likely a failed product, as many people are not convinced that such a product will necessary works and defines a 100% consent..

The so-called “Consent Condom” is also not featuring at the said Company’s official eCommerce website currently, probably just a concept product!

But judging at such a huge floodgate of responses from it, it seems like to be a successful marketing gimmick after all 🙂
