A vigilant ICA – Immigration & Checkpoints Authority officer at Woodlands Checkpoint stopped a Singapore-registered car for security checks and discovered two live chicks hidden in a watch box on 22 May 2019.
The watch box was kept in one of the car compartments.
A 28-year-old male Singaporean is currently assisting NParks in its investigation, while the chicks are being cared for and quarantined to observe for any signs of infectious or contagious diseases.
